Friends and family of Michael Jackson have paid their last respects to the singer known as the King of Pop at a funeral ceremony outside Los Angeles.

Dame Elizabeth Taylor, actor Macaulay Culkin and music producer Quincy Jones were among the 200 invited guests.

Gladys Knight sang at the service while civil rights campaigner the Reverend Al Sharpton was one of the speakers.

The ceremony was due to begin at 0200 GMT at Glendale’s Forest Lawn Memorial Park but began more than an hour late.

The singer’s gold-plated casket was adorned with flowers
The delay was caused by the late arrival of the singer’s family, who eventually arrived in a motorcade of 31 vehicles.

Jackson’s brothers - Randy, Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon - acted as pallbearers as his gold-plated coffin was removed from a hearse.

All were dressed identically in black suits, with each wearing a solitary white glove - a fashion statement made famous by their legendary sibling.

The singer’s children - Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11, and seven-year-old Prince Michael II - sat in the front row next to his parents, Katherine and Joe Jackson.

Comedian Chris Tucker, producer Berry Gordy and Lisa Marie Presley, Jackson’s ex-wife, also attended.

The service took place after dark in the open air outside Forest Lawn’s Great Mausoleum.

This is my tribute to Michael Jackson, the man who changed the world culture in an instant. Michael was a part of my life since from him I learned most of dance moves and I got to know what true pop is. May his soul Rest in Peace.
I played all the music and I also sang the song. If you are interested, the name of the song is “Wishlist” by Pearl Jam.
I used dfh Ezdrummer, Native Instruments Kontakt 3, N.I.Guitar Rig 3. I have a Epiphone Les Paul and a small studio setup with PreSonus Firebox and a pair of Rokit 5 monitors. I used Shure SM58 mic for recording.

Im rele glad tht he changed the world for us by singing his heart to the poor,the troops,and everything tht he been through..micheal was the truth of micheal jackson because he has alot of styles tht he adds when it comes to his performeces like the Black panther dance.tht Was sick..the song tht rele touches me is man in the mirror,you are not alone,Everytime When i listen to the song it just makesme think about of wat imgoing through rite now and it rele gets me emotional everytime i listen to this song.I can tell that micheal knows tht everything isgoing to be okayy..even though he’s in a great place..he will never forget that we are not alone because he is in our hearts and will always make sure to heal the world and make it a better place;) WE LOVE YOU MICHEAL AND WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER YOU AS THE KING OF POP!
